What is your local delivery policy? 

We offer free local delivery for orders above S$150. Purchase from our online store and receive your order via courier within 5 to 7 business days. During sales and holiday periods, it can take up to 7 business days for us to process your order. We seek your kind understanding during these peak seasons. 

A Next Day Delivery option is available at checkout at S$11. Next Day Deliveries picked up on Friday (after 5pm) and on Saturday will be delivered on Monday or the Next Working Day. There will be no deliveries on Sundays and Public Holidays.

What is a failed delivery attempt?

In the event where the customer is uncontactable and/or if no one is available to receive the parcel, it will be considered a failed delivery and a re-delivery fee will be borne by the recipient.

Do you offer international shipping?

Yes, Choo Yilin ships internationally via FedEx for a fee of S$50. For orders above S$450, we offer free international delivery. Local GST (Government Service Tax) of 7% applies to your purchase and shipping fee. All shipments outside of Singapore may be subject to import charges (duties, customs tariffs, and government service tax) which are set by the destination country. Taxes and tariffs imposed by your country will be borne by the recipient; the international shipping fees excludes these fees. 

Why is the value of my items listed differently on the delivery order?

This will only happen for deliveries outside of Singapore. In order to fulfill customs requirements, we sometimes declare a different amount on our packing slip. This is to prevent stoppages at customs as there are some restrictions on jewellery delivery to certain regions and countries. This discrepancy is not an indication that you have received the wrong order. Do check your delivery invoice and item(s) to verify that you have received the correct order. Please feel free to get in touch with us at hello@chooyilin.com to verify that your package is correct. 

How do I make payment?

Prices displayed on the website are exclusive of taxes. When you proceed to purchase your order online, a 7% GST will be levied on the total merchandise value. Additionally, a shipping fee will be applied for purchases below S$150. Prices are listed in Singapore Dollars by default. You can choose to either pay through a PayPal account or Credit/Debit Card. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. 

Are the online promotions and sales available in stores?

No, promotions running on our website will not be valid at our Mandarin Gallery and Joo Chiat boutique or pop-up store unless otherwise stated. 

What is your Return Policy?

We have a 365-Days Return Policy specifically for online purchases. Successful returns will be processed within 15 business days and credited back to you in the form of store credits. Find out more information about the Online Purchase Return Policy page here.  

What happens if I receive a defective or incorrect item?

Our team performs a rigorous check on all items before delivering them to you. However, we sincerely apologise if you receive a defective* or incorrect item. Please email us at hello@chooyilin.com with a picture and details of the defect within 7 days (local orders)/ 28 days (international orders) from the date that the order was placed. Once the defects have been confirmed, you can send the defective product back to us and we will arrange for a new item to be sent to you once we receive the defective item. 

Choo Yilin will reimburse any shipping cost incurred for the defective/incorrect item(s) sent to you. Please note that we will only proceed with the return if the item was purchased directly from us.

*Defects do not include variations in jade colour, as the jade that we use is a naturally occurring material.

Why is the colour of my jade piece different from the website? 

Our photos are not altered to misrepresent the true colours of our jade pieces. Due to the highly organic nature of Type A jadeite, the colour and hue of each jade piece will vary. This makes each piece of jewellery truly unique to its wearer.

How can I take care of my jewellery?

What is the 12-month guarantee policy?

Our guarantee covers basic re-polishing for purchased items for one year. Please retain your sales receipt as proof of purchase. The guarantee does not cover for jewellery damaged by wear and tear, accident, negligence, loss of stones, misuse or mishandling of jewellery pieces, or any other form of handling of jewellery unrelated to manufacturing defects. Jewellery damaged by water will also be voided under this guarantee. Items purchased during flash sales will not be covered under this guarantee. Choo Yilin reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions without notice or liability to any party.
