The Chinese Zodiac comprises of twelve animals - The Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig. It was believed that the sequence was determined by the order of arrival when the Jade Emperor (The Emperor in Heaven in Chinese folklore) called for a meeting. You can find the full story here!
